This scan measures the fluid-filled space at the back of the baby’s neck. Increased thickness may be associated with chromosomal conditions such as Down syndrome and certain structural abnormalities.
The NT scan also evaluates:

Early fetal anatomy
Placental position
Gestational age confirmation
Risk assessment for chromosomal abnormalities

Early detection allows parents and doctors to make informed decisions and plan appropriate follow-up care when necessary.
Getting the NT scan done at the correct time window is essential for accurate results.
